• read the grade 6 curriculum to understand what will be covered throughout the year
• establish a regular time for homework each day
• do not allow TV or video games during homework time
• follow a daily routine, to help your child learn time management
• expect your child to take responsibility for their learning
• be positive about homework, projects or tests
• a positive attitude will create less anxiety for your child
• practice with your child reading directions independently
• take time with your child to review completed and graded assignments
• give positive and constructive feedback
• ask your child about their French classes (français, etudes sociales, science)
• let your child practice their oral French presentation in front of you
(it will help them to speak out loud)
• make sure they have all the necessary resources
